Job Description

Responsibilities
The VP, Casting will be responsible for managing casting efforts and needs for scripted programs for Universal Content Productions, scripted programs across the NBCU cable portfolio (USA, SYFY) as well as those on Peacock.

Responsibilities
• Manage relationships and correspondence with potential talent and their representatives
• Monitor and guide the casting process on pilots and series
• Participate in contract negotiations as needed
• Identify and develop new and creative ways to acquire the best talent
• Proactively navigate and identify paths of success for increasingly inclusive and equitable casting
• Liaise with talent and their representative as needed
• Liaise with casting directors, studios and networks
• Track talent and casting needs on al competitive networks and platforms
• On-going upkeep of inclusive and equitable casting reports
• Track development for competitive networks and platforms
• Supervise support staff for video editing needs
• Actively recruit talent from festivals, conventions, etc
• Conduct auditions for any projects as deemed necessary

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in Casting for scripted development
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Basic knowledge of video camera operation
Experience in conducting casting sessions required
PC and Mac proficient

Desired Characteristics

Prior casting or agency experience
Experience with editing software and Cast It system
Excellent organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal relations skills
Be flexible, personable, self-starter and detail-oriented with the ability to interface with the creative community as well as all levels of NBCU personnel
Proficient at multi-tasking and work well under pressure and deadlines
