Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Sr Programmer in Los Angeles, CA to support and assist designers, artists, and other software developers as needed throughout the software development lifecycle. Requires a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent, and two (2) years of experience building and extending AI systems, data pipeline architecture, and animation systems. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining systems software and tools to support gameplay (animation, locomotion, navigation, and combat); profiling and performance tuning software to remove bottlenecks; ascertaining software requirements, estimating effort and related costs, executing technical software design, planning software projects, and monitoring existing software; understanding how code will behave given hardware specifications; refactoring specific portions of code to take advantage of specific target hardware and software conditions; working on systems and technologies, including decision making (behavior trees), pathfinding, agent locomotion, agent coordination, and spatial query. **Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the alternative.
