News Producer / Shooter

Responsibilities
NBC News is seeking a highly experienced producer/shooter to help us build a breakthrough a new partnership launching on Quibi. The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller; a news junkie who considers all angles of a story and can generate fresh ideas for field and in-studio segments. This is a hands-on job from conception through delivery, so we're looking for a team player who collaborates well with talent, writers, and editors.

Responsibilities:
• Pitch timely and compelling stories for daily broadcast
• Produce and shoot original stories
• Find and book engaging characters for features
• Multi-task stories in various stages of production while meeting tight deadlines
• Manage productions and locations
• Work with senior producer to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Work with editors to meet NBC News standards and style guide

Qualifications/Requirements
• 3+ years of professional production experience, preferably in news and documentaries
• Demonstrated knowledge and prior experience in DSLR shooting
• Demonstrated knowledge and prior experience in lighting and audio
• Must have strong writing and scripting ability
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop a plus
• Comfortable traveling last minute and spending time on the road
