Job Description

EAX QV Data Analyst - 11 Month Temporary Full-time

EAX QV is looking to fill a Data Analyst role reporting to the Development Manager for the Quality Support and Partnership (QSP) Team in Galway to help accomplish the live quality strategy within EAX.

EAX QV oversees the end-to-end quality of our products such as Origin, EA Access, Franchise Websites and partner programmes. You will be a thoughtful, curious person who has a passion for diving into data to help improve the business. Your insights will influence how we build and verify the quality of our products.

Responsibilities:
• You will work with the QSP team to promote live quality monitoring, enhance our testing methods and ensure quality is at a high standard
• Conduct analysis using statistical software, databases and reporting tools
• Design and monitor essential metrics
• Develop scripts and queries to import, clean, transform, and enhance data
• Build live data dashboards complete with user documentation
• Develop statistical analysis models for hypothesis testing, prediction, or inference
• Perform quality assurance to ensure accuracy and consistency for the information being delivered
• Present analysis conclusions to partners in a clear, understandable, and valuable way
• Model trends in our data to predict the ways in which new content and campaigns will affect our performance and live quality
• Explore user behavior patterns in our data to identify opportunities to improve the user experience

Experience
• 2+ years of work experience in a past analytical role
• Experience in data mining, machine learning, or statistical modeling

Tools
• Perform data analysis using data tools with a high degree of proficiency
• Visualize high readability data insights using software tools like Power BI or Tableau
• Understand well how data is stored in databases and can write fast and reusable SQL code to retrieve it
• Write efficient Python or R code to answer data analysis questions
• Use the requirements of the of Agile/Waterfall process and adjust their work to suit the clients needs

Education
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, and Mathematics)

• Very good foundation of math and statistical knowledge including an understanding of probability, correlation, regression, classification, and the development of statistical models
• Exceptional problem solving, creative thinking and analytical skills
• You can initiate and maintain close partnerships with coworkers and partners
• You can lead projects and look for new problems to solve and new concepts to implement
• You have a natural desire to adapt and develop abilities
• Communicator who is not afraid to ask questions and brings new insights to light
• Experience working with clients and working in a team environment
• A high tolerance for data ambiguity
