Responsibilities
Overview:

Within the Universal Brand Development (UBD) group, the Senior Financial Analyst (SFA), Revenue Accounting will be a key member of the Controllership team ensuring proper revenue recognition through the design, implementation and monitoring of effective policies, procedures, and controls in accordance with ASC 606 and SOX section 404 standards. This position requires close interaction with other divisions and senior management, reporting directly to the Manager of Revenue Accounting. The SFA role exists within a fast paced environment having the opportunity for growth within the company.

Job Duties:
• Key contributor for the monthly and quarter close processes in SAP, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, rollforwards, and investigating variances to prior periods.
• Participate in the overall management of RightsLogic (RSG), UBD's licensing subledger system.
• Participate in the management of offshore accounting resources and review work product.
• Act as a liaison with other departments within Brand Development, including FP&A, IT and other Film teams, including Controllership & Participations.
• Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives and opportunities to build efficiencies into existing reporting routines.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and perform accounting research as needed.
• Remain current on new and emerging US GAAP guidance, trends and techniques as well as new contractual and operational arrangements to ensure that UBD's revenue recognition policies remain current and accurate.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Minimum 2 years experience in Accounting or Finance
• Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
