Job Description

DICE (EA Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment), the award-winning studio based in Stockholm, Sweden, is best known for creating the phenomenally successful Battlefield franchise, the Star Wars: Battlefront franchise, and the very creative game Mirror's Edge.

We work through our 4 guiding values: Passion with Purpose, Creative Innovation, Everything Quality, and One Community. Our people are the backbone and driving force to our creative products. As such, we are dedicated to providing everyone the chance to express themselves and be their very best with a common cause.

Core Software Engineer

We are looking for a Core Software Engineer with experience writing high-quality and maintainable game engine code in C++. We find added value in candidates with expertise in optimizing performance and memory usage, and low-level understanding of the console and PC platforms.

We need your bravery to challenge existing ideas. You can identify the small things that make the big differences. You listen to other people's ideas, know how to embrace change, and you lead by example.

Reporting into Craft Manager, you will be a part of ensuring the studio and our live titles to adopt new technology and always improve the way we work. As a senior engineer, your ideas and implementations will change how DICE creates games. From within DICE and EA, being in a driving partnership with the Frostbite development team, you will work with leading industry talent in one of the world's largest and leading game development communities.

Required Skills
• 3+ years in core engineering
• Experience with C++
• Motivated to achieve with an eye towards quality
• Communication ability that supports an open working environment regarding feedback

Additional Skills
• Experience with game engines and art and content pipelines and workflows
• Experience investigating and optimizing low-level game engine code on multiple platforms

We do not believe it matters if you have a degree in Computer Science or if you are self-taught. Your deep subject-matter knowledge, engineering experience, and overall curiosity is what makes you right for this job.

What's in it for you? Glad you asked!
