Responsibilities
The Publicist, Media Relations, is responsible for development and execution of public relations priorities for NBC News' TODAY brand.

Tasks include:
• Provide support to TODAY PR by assisting in the daily management of press and publicity efforts
• Manage incoming requests for photos, video, bios and other assets for publicity purposes
• Manage and maintain all press materials including photos, bios, videos and press clippings
• Create and manage multiple detailed press distribution lists
• Maintain detailed communications plans, media lists and schedules
• Write and manage clip reports and press roundups
• Write and draft press materials including bios, program notes and press releases
• Write and distribute weekly show press listings
• Pitch daily TODAY show content including interviews, stories, photos
• Organize and pitch daily TODAY photos, maintain current relationships with photo editors
• Organize and secure press for all TODAY Plaza concerts
• Serve as day-of press contact for TODAY Plaza concert press
• Assist with crews, photo shoots and events
• Assist in managing and distributing internal TODAY press communications
• Support NBC News/TODAY show PR team including some administrative work
• Provide PR support during breaking news situations for NBC News Specials and other NBC news brands
• Daily morning responsibilities include monitoring TODAY show, social assets and competition
• Manage and coordinate various team projects throughout the year

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• Minimum of 4 years in news or political environment
• Must be a strong writer with a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
