Hulu’s Video team is seeking a Senior Software Developer who will be an exceptional addition to our engineering team. The team is responsible for the video processing platform which powers the ingestion system for all the on-demand videos and advertisements in Hulu. It delivers the highest quality videos to tens of millions of users. As a senior software developer at Hulu, you should be willing to go to the depths to tackle sophisticated challenges and have the curiosity to explore and learn new technologies for innovative solutions. WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Define, design and implement the world-class, high availability video processing platform
• Design well architected solutions and build iteratively into systems while maintaining the best agile practices; and write defensive and robust tests
• Communicate with peers and/or managers and present views and opinions respectfully
• Coach and mentor junior team members

WHAT TO BRING
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of software development experience, and proficiency in Python, Go, or similar
• Proven understanding of microservices system design & architecture
• Solid experience of engineering excellence
• Deep understanding about online system operation
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English
• A desire to relentlessly pursue better ways on how to tackle problems and improve systems
