Job Description

Broadcast Maintenance Technician: WYFF 4, the NBC affiliate in Greenville, SC, has an opening for a Broadcast Maintenance Technician. We are looking for a self-starter with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Applicant should be detail oriented with the ability to understand and follow instructions and be a team player with a strong sense of responsibility. Hours and shifts will vary depending on the news events of the day, with weekend, night, on call and holiday work part of the job.

Job Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities will include:
• Installation, troubleshooting and repair of broadcast television equipment
• Installation, troubleshooting and repair of broadcast and general-purpose IT equipment
• Troubleshooting
of Microsoft operating systems and office applications
• Must be able to lift heavy equipment and pass a DOT physical
• Experience with UHF television transmitters, microwave, ENG and SNG trucks, is a plus.
• Position may require some travel with the SNG truck for live remotes
• Must be able to understand and maintain technical documentation and drawings

Experience Requirements:
• Minimum
of two years' experience as a maintenance technician at a commercial broadcast television station
• Associated military technical experience will be considered

Qualifications Requirements:
• Candidate must have strong technical and communication skills along with a proven track record of accomplishments in broadcast engineering.
• Training and experience in IT and Microsoft operating systems and software is a plus.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in electronics or equivalent education or experience (including military training and experience)
