The Job

The Temporary Coordinating Producer is charged with developing, producing and managing editorial and custom content in support of Newsource Live, Newsource Distribution, and Newsource's Digital platforms.

The Daily
• This position requires strong editorial, writing, logistics and technical skills to meet the primary obligation of producing and delivering promised content and live services to more than 1,800 CNN affiliates and clients worldwide.
• The Coordinating Producer will be proficient in story pitches and development, identifying strong sound, graphics, and video for news packages and topical series, as well as feature stories and special reports.
• This position also provides editorial support to correspondents during live reports on location at breaking news settings or planned events.
• The Coordinating Producer will also have strong field producing experience and is comfortable handling multiple tasks to support talent and photojournalists in the field, and is comfortable being dispatched on short notice to cover these stories.
• This role works directly with other editorial and technical members in the Newsource Production Unit, Newsource Live Desk, to ensure that Newsource affiliates are receiving the highest quality product possible.

The Essentials
• Newsroom experience in field production, package production, control room, newscast production, or similar.
• 5 years, Impeccable news judgment and knowledge.
• Excellent script writing skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Highly organized, able to multi-task.
