National Investigative Producer

Job Description

Sinclair Broadcast Group's Corporate National News Division is seeking an experienced Investigative Producer to join the Spotlight on America and Inside Your World Investigates teams. Launched in 2018, Spotlight on America is a National Award-Winning franchise, producing original investigative and enterprise reports semiweekly for air across the SBG station group. Along with the Emmy-nominated Inside Your World Investigates, which tackles stories from the U.S. and around the globe, the two national franchises have so far produced more than 150 original reports, plus multiple in-depth specials for air across 75+ stations nationwide and our national streaming service.

This position reports directly to the Executive Producer of Investigative Reporting for the Corporate News Division. The successful candidate must have strong writing skills and a proven track record of producing original and groundbreaking news reports. At least 10 years of experience in television news is ideal, including at least three years reporting for a national broadcast. Experience with FOIA's and deep research is a plus. Organizational skills are a must. The candidate chosen will understand the importance of producing news on all platforms.

Required Experience:
• Extensive script writing experience
• At least 7-10 years of experience producing in a fast-paced television news environment
• At least 3 years of experience producing content for National broadcast
• Non-linear editing is a plus
• Social media immersion
