KCCI-TV 8 News is looking for an investigative reporter to join a nationally-recognized, award-winning team of journalists.

Job Description
• The investigative reporter will juggle multiple projects, working on long-term investigations while also being part of the daily editorial process.
• Develop ideas for realistic, executable, timely and important investigations.
• Develop key sources in order to break stories.
• This reporter will be a versatile storyteller: able to delve into numbers, tell emotional stories and deliver active and creative live shots.
• Candidates should know how to analyze data and request public records.
• They must be creative in the use of graphics and digital and social media platforms.
• They should also be open to collaboration with an entire team of journalists.

Experience Requirements:
• Past reporting experience(2-5 years) required
• Demonstrated ability to enterprise and uncover
• Your demo reel should be indicative of your everyday work
• Related military experience will be considered

Education:
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent proven work experience.
• Equivalent military training from Defense Information School (DINFOS) and associated experience will be considered.
