Division Overview:

The CBS Television Distribution (CTD) group at CBS Interactive leads and creates highly engaging digital entertainment experiences for first-run television syndication brands such as: Entertainment Tonight, Inside Edition, Rachael Ray, Dr. Phil, The Doctors, and The Drew Barrymore Show (launching Fall 2020). CTD is a fast-paced group whose portfolio also includes original digital channels ET Live (the free 24/7 direct-to-consumer streaming network dedicated to all things entertainment available on OTT, mobile devices and online platforms) and Dabl (a multiplatform, advertiser-supported lifestyle network). CTD also re-launched and manages StarTrek.com, the official site of the iconic StarTrek franchise.

Role Details:

CTD is seeking a Manager of Product leading InsideEdition.com, ETOnline.com, and ETLive. This role will manage the long-term roadmap constantly iterating to respond to new opportunities, and our business needs while creating innovative initiatives with high impact. In a flexible and fast-paced environment, you will guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds and support the day to day business of our brands and cross-brand initiatives. The role is an exciting combination of product leader with vision and technical product manager engaging with engineering at a technical level solving problems. The ideal candidate will shift seamlessly from creative ideation to tactical / technological environments and inspire the team and co-workers to push the limits and deliver excellence.

Your Day-to-Day:
• Oversee the success of the product roadmap for all aspects of digital product experiences
• Lead a team of product managers on various initiatives - visualize, identify, and create efficiencies between ETOnline and ETLive
• Responsible for leading products using the Agile process and mindset from the planning stage to defining requirements, creating user stories, and prioritizing features
• Launch new products and features, test their performance and iterate / reiterate quickly
• Collaborate with product and scrum teams on business requirements, managing changes, removing roadblocks, and communicating broadly with multiple stakeholders
• Partner with engineering on evaluating and prioritizing critical technology initiatives and integrating them into the CTD roadmap
• Develop innovative solutions and features by collaborating as needed with our functional groups: Ad Operations, Video Operations, SEO, Audience Acquisition, Business Intelligence business units
• Lead cross-platform digital video strategy and implementation to grow our rapidly expanding O&O video business
• Manage the A/B testing roadmap and pipeline
• Externally leverage CBSi emerging development technology trends for the CTD group
• Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

What you bring to the team:

You have -
• 5+ years of experience in product management and directly managing a high performing team
• Developed and maintained multiple entertainment roadmaps
• Experience in evaluating and prioritizing the competing factors of objectives, limited resources, and various stakeholder requests
• Hands-on experience working within SCRUM or other agile development methodologies
• Experience defining complex technical requirements
• Experience defining, developing, and managing experiments for A/B testing or user testing
• Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
• Extremely motivated and detail-oriented individual who is energized by significant challenges works well under pressure, can manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and has excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Experience in product managing OTT platforms and mobile applications

You might also have -
• Experience working with video streaming technologies (live streaming and VOD)
• Knowledge of digital advertising concepts (video and display)
• Knowledge of online publishing environments and revenue streams
• Experience with software Jira, Confluence, Omniture, Kendis, Product Plan, or other tools
• Bachelor's degree in business, technology, computer science, media, or relevant fields preferred
