Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accounting Analyst interested in making an impact with a growing technology business with the Walt Disney Company. We are seeking an individual energized by new challenges and the culture of a new business where you are creating the foundation for the future. This person should be a self-starter, creative problem solver, excellent communicator and willing to build relationships across business units. This individual will support Disney Streaming Services, a business that will deliver on Disney's direct to consumer business strategy, including ESPN+ and Disney +.

Responsibilities:
• Perform all duties necessary for an effective and timely monthly/quarterly close, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and thorough explanation of monthly P&L to forecast and Balance Sheet variances;
• Remain engaged with the Finance organization to review and understand forecasts and budgets for each business;
• Maintains close relationship with key business operations personnel and provide assistance with evaluating accounting, financial and system issues;
• Review & summarize contracts for Management;
• Ensure compliance with Disney policies and procedures within each of the assigned businesses; ensure transactions are properly accounted for under GAAP;
• Complete quarterly and annual reporting deliverables;
• Preparation of standalone financial statements
• Assists the Manager & Director on special projects, as assigned
• Identifies process improvement opportunities and assists with implementation efforts for departmental projects/initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:
• 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a Big 4 Public Accounting firm
• Proficiency in Excel
• Experience with enterprise wide general ledger systems is preferred
• Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, combined with the ability to multitask
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Solid relationship building skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels
• High-energy level and a strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications:
• CPA a plus

Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
