Job Description

Responsibilities
The research analyst position, with a focus on Digital, will work cross-functionally analyzing linear, digital, and social with a focus on combining all metrics to present insights and recommendations that will enhance our audience across our network and platforms. Analyst will partner across the Strategy & Insights team to report insights across all platforms.
• Identify and analyze trends in the evolving multiplatform TV landscape
• Act as a liaison between the different linear, digital, and social departments to ensure streamlined workflows and complete analyses across all platforms
• Maximize the use of proprietary and third-party analytics tools (e.g. Nielsen, Adobe Analytics, Shareablee, etc.) that provide access to linear, digital, and social metrics and demonstrate proficiency in understanding how to use these data sources for all assigned tasks
• Analyze and translate data-based findings into clear, relevant and actionable insights
• Develop and update dashboards that integrate data from various sources
• Perform audits on the current status of network's linear and digital content with the objective to identify areas of opportunity to move viewers across platforms
• Stays abreast of changing social media and digital media industry trends

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, statistics, economics or related field or equivalent work experience
• Minimum one year of research experience at a broadcast/cable network, agency, media research supplier or digital media company; alternatively, other experience grounded in strategic thinking and quantitative/qualitative analysis
• Skilled with media research software applications (e.g. Nielsen, Comscore)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are required; advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, vLookups, etc.) are a plus
• Experience with DOMO, Tableau or similar data visualization tools
• Ability to communicate complex ideas, stories, and data sets graphically and verbally
• Ability to collaborate and work closely with other parts of the business, including Programming, Marketing and other Research teams
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and ad hoc requests while thriving in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter, resourceful, flexible, proactive & a true team-player who is willing to pitch in wherever needed
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Must be fluent in Spanish (speak, read & write)
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including late and/or last minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
• Must be available to work (whenever necessary for show production) early mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
