Simon & Schuster Chidren's Books is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support a senior member of each of two imprints and assist two additional editors
Primary tasks will include:
Contract requests, check requests, and tracking
Prepararation of materials for all sales meetings, including PowerPoints and any additional content-gathering for such meetings
Tipsheet drafting and managing
Catalog copy tracking
Book orders for authors, illustrators, and agents
Posting reviews for feeding out online
Metadata upkeep for frontlist and backlist
Library of Congress application and followup
Copyright application and followup

QUALIFICATIONS:
This is an entry-level position, so no experience is necessary, but the ideal candidate will have a BA and should demonstrate strong communication skills, good organizational abilities, and an interest in children's books. Previous experience in children's book publishing a plus but not required.
