Responsibilities
Universal Studios Group encompasses our award-winning powerhouse television studios – Universal Television (UTV), Universal Content Productions (UCP), and NBCUniversal International Studios.

Universal Television (UTV) is one of the industry's leading television studios, producing content for a wide array of networks covering broadcast, cable, and streaming. UTV's 50+ current series include Little America (Apple TV+), Master of None (Netflix), On The Spectrum (Amazon Prime Video), Saved By The Bell (Peacock), Mapleworth Murders (Quibi), The Gilded Age (HBO), The Bold Type (Freeform), The Baker & The Beauty (ABC), FBI (CBS), Duncanville (FOX), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (NBC), Good Girls (NBC), and the Law & Order and Chicago franchises (NBC). UTV also develops international series for networks around the globe in countries like the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

This internship will work with the UTV creative departments:
• Development (drama, comedy, and international) which seek out new show ideas, target networks to sell series to, and foster the creative management of writers and directors at the birth of the series.
• Current Programming takes over from development when a show is picked up to series and continues the creative management process throughout the life of the show overseeing writers, directors, and production.
• Casting seeks out actors for all roles throughout the life of the series and looks to discover new and upcoming talent.
• Office of the President includes the support staff for the head of the studio who oversees all departments including creative, production, finance, BA, and PR.

Internship duties include, but are not limited to:
• Script Coverage: Interns will be asked to read incoming script submissions, books, or news articles and write up a ''book report'' summarizing the material and giving their opinions on potential for development.
• Administrative support: Help coordinators compile grids and presentations.

Qualifications/Requirements
In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress
Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal

Excellent verbal and written communication, including strong ability for script/book coverage
Previous internship experience at other studios, networks, or production/management companies preferred
