Senior International Tax Analyst - International Tax Compliance

The International Tax team is looking for an experienced Senior Analyst to join the team to support Canadian indirect and direct tax compliance. In this role, you will need to be a self-starter who is skillful in communicating with cross-functional business partners with varying backgrounds and levels of experience. A successful candidate will be able to manage complex workflows that involve multiple stakeholders and build strong relationships within Tax and across the Finance organization.

Responsibilities include:
• Manage Canadian federal and provincial indirect tax return compliance and related processes to meet deadlines and payment processes on-time
• Assist with managing Canadian indirect tax audits including preparation of responses to taxing authorities and audit result summary for management review
• Maintain and reconcile sales tax general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
• Provide support with respect to Canadian corporate income tax compliance
• Identify ways to enhance tax compliance and tax accounting processes to improve overall tax compliance efficiency
• Work with cross-functional business partners in Legal and throughout the Finance organization including Financial Applications and Finance Operations

Qualities We're Looking For:
• 5+ years of Big 4, studios and/or multinational tax and accounting experience
• BS / BA in Accounting or Finance and CPA/CA preferred
• Strong accounting skills and detail-oriented
• Strong communication skills (both written and oral) and are viewed as a strong cross-functional business partner
• Never satisfied with the status quo; always thinking of how to make existing processes more efficient and meaningful and open to new or challenging ideas presented by others
• Drive process improvements and contribute to new projects
