Job Description

As a Sales Planner, you will be responsible for the tactical and client management of Total Video Planning Process (Digital/Linear) to guarantee your Sales team hits its total one platform net revenue goals. You will be a member of a highly motivated News Ad Sales & Marketing team at NBCUniversal where account relationship building, and customer satisfaction are keys to a successful Sales Planner candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Candidate will support one platform planning for News Digital Sites and News Linear Properties
• Team with Account Executive to understand agency/client goals and objectives and brainstorm solutions
• Accountable for campaign results and providing clients with strategic and tactical guidance to achieve online marketing objectives
• Combine data analytics and client feedback to configure, operate, and optimize campaigns to meet client objectives
• Work with all internal departments (Ad Ops, CRS, Inventory, Marketing, Management, Site Team, etc.) on the development and implementation of client campaigns/sponsorship concepts across Digital and Linear platforms to attain internal & external goals
• Create Digital & Linear media plans that meet customer needs, which also maximize inventory utilization for NBCUniversal
• Work closely with Digital & Linear Planning Manager to tactically drive company-wide goals and improve operational sales process
• Manage client relationships and deliver superior customer service
• Handle client services and ensuring all campaigns get live
• Manage all Plan Stewardship for your Digital & Linear campaigns to assure all deals deliver and proactively communicate any issues to Planning Management/Account Executive teams with proper communication to Agency/Client when necessary
• Communicate campaign highlights and/or red flags to Account Executive/Planning Manager to enable resolution with client
• Monitor campaign to ensure delivery (running internal and 3rd party reporting) – assist with billing
• Ensure post-campaign research studies are properly coordinated, where applicable
• Deliver campaign recap to Account Executives and/or clients summarizing performance
• Coordinate with Account Executives on development of renewal strategies based on client/program insights

• Bachelor's degree required
• Online experience in media planning or client service role
• Media related project experience

• Strong computer skills, especially in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

• Ad Serving software and tracking knowledge is a plus

• A strong ability to perform independently and proactively while working in a team environment
• High energy and teamwork mentality
