JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dynamic, positive, hardworking, and creative Editorial Producer to join the Bill Hemmer Reports team. We're looking for someone who has their finger on the pulse of the cable news industry, a passion for political news, excellent editorial judgment, and the eye to identify unique story angles. You will have the opportunity to work directly with the show's talent, Senior Producer, and Executive Producer to help craft a daily, compelling news rundown while also prepping content for future projects. You should be able to pitch and assist in the booking of big newsmakers and will ideally have contacts with leaders in various industries. You must also be comfortable handling breaking news in the control room.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in production of well-researched daily segments
• Participate in editorial decisions as well as pitch unique content for the show – for both day of and future
• Help support the line producer
• React to breaking news, ensuring that the right content is getting on the air in the right order
• Ensure talent has necessary research and elements to produce the best possible segments and show

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• At least 5 years of newsroom experience, including production of a television newscast
• Proficient writing and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Must be prepared to travel
• Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure
• Knowledge and passion for current events, politics, and cultural stories shaping the national conversation is essential
• Exceptional editorial skills and an ability to recognize stories with high potential for compelling television
