Job Description

The function of the department is to co-ordinate all international commercial exploitation spanning across all of UMG’s frontline, catalogue and classical releases. This includes product pricing, systems and data analysis, digital/streaming partner management, campaigns, international direct to consumer/merchandise and international trade management. The team are also responsible for music product/music format innovation.

These areas mean the Commercial Affairs department is comprised of 5 key functions:
• Commercial Operations
• Commercial Partnerships
• eCommerce & Fan Product (D2C)
• Commercial Projects
• Commercial Technologies

In this role you will be the general team assistant across the Commercial Affairs Department, reporting to PA to SVP Commercial Affairs, and assisting VP Commercial Partnerships, VP Commercial Technologies and Director Commercial Projects.

Skills & Experience

Be Creative
• Generating Linkfire links for campaigns
• Optimising dynamic playlists
• Fixed Playlist creation
• Assisting team with YouTube catalogue optimisation

Be Organised
• Scheduling conference calls and meetings as required
• Financial related responsibilities including use of the UMG online payment system – Uniport, and expenses
• Diary management for VP Commercial Partnerships
• Arranging business travel, preparing itineraries, invoices and expenses
• Coordinating presentations where required
• Key Release Schedule mailout
• Supply Chain Admin

Be Collaborative
• Coordination of team activities and group projects
• Cover for PA to SVP Commercial Affairs during absence
• General admin and other ad hoc project support as appropriate

Person Specification
Essential
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a good telephone manner
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong IT Skills and knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel, Keynote, Powerpoint and windows-based packages
• Ability to prioritise to tight deadlines, with a strong sense of initiative and discretion
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent organisational skills
• Resilient and tenacious
• A love of music

Desirable
• Knowledge of Macs and Mac based packages desired, but not essential.
