Job Description

Responsibilities:
• Pitch smart, relevant, and compelling stories
• Craft stories that are both powerful journalistically and fun to watch
• Edit in Adobe Premiere and AVID on tight deadlines
• Multi-task and juggle multiple VO, SOT, and PKG edits for daily and breaking news programming
• Shoot, write, and edit original videos
• Work closely with correspondents and hosts
• Build compelling live segments for our show in iNews rundown
• Find voices that bring interesting perspectives to our network
• Stay up on the news and jump in as duty calls

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
• You've been working in digital video, broadcast, or

cable for 5+ years
• You're a journalist who is not afraid to pick up the

phone and conduct original reporting
• You love news, and writing a great script
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on

weekends with short notice
• You have a Bachelor's degree
• You are willing to work in New York, New York

After Effects when you have time, and you template

effects for when time is short
• You get excited by both the editorial and the art of

• You've got thorough knowledge of current events, U.S.

politics, and pop culture
• You live for the moments when news is breaking and

time to air is short
• You're familiar with iNews
• You can juggle day-of stories on deadline and bring the

proper context to them, all while thinking ahead to big

features that set our emerging network apart
