Position

ABOUT THE ROLE

Salary: $20-$22/hour

Location: El Segundo/hybrid remote working

We are currently looking for a Subtitle Asset Coordinator to work in our busy Subtitling/Tech QC department. The Subtitling team work with major clients on numerous ongoing projects, working within agreed time frames and funding parameters. Technical Quality Control is a vital final stage before project delivery, and involves vetting subtitles that have been created in-house or externally to ensure that all content meets agreed quality standards.

As Subtitle Asset Coordinator, you will support the production team by managing and ingesting incoming assets and creating work orders using company's proprietary project management and subtitling systems.

Day to day responsibilities include;
• Support production team by retrieving, organizing and ingesting incoming subtitle and video assets.
• Create work orders using company's proprietary project management system.
• Validate assets for workability using media players and company's proprietary systems prior to pushing orders to subtitle QC operators. Checks include but are not limited to:
• Audio/video sync
• Missing content
• Asset corruption/formatting issues.
• Media preparation tasks including but not limited to: Transcoding and conversion of provided files for use within ZOO systems.
• Synchronizing subtitle and audio assets with video using proprietary system.
• Frequently communicate order and asset status with Project Managers, Subtitle QC operators and QC managers.

All on site ZOO employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and must provide CDC verification of their vaccination status as part of the onboarding process before starting.

Requirements

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for bright and enthusiastic applicants who can work well under pressure. The Subtitle Asset Coordinator must have previous experience in a fast-paced Digital Production environment, as well as experience in audio or video asset management and processing.

We are also looking for applicants with the following skills and experience;
• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Enthusiastic and able to work well under pressure.
• Quality driven approach with the ability to follow strict guidelines, checklists and instructions.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization, time management and planning skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible team player.
• Self-motivated and able to take initiative.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced Digital Production environment.
• Previous experience in audio or video assets management and processing.
• Knowledge of subtitling software would be advantageous.
