Position

ABOUT THE ROLE

Salary: £21,000

Location: Sheffield/Hybrid remote working

Due to continued expansion, ZOO Digital are currently seeking a Research Assistant to help with the creation of training data using ZOO's proprietary software.

This data will be used to support a range of projects, predominantly collaborative research projects focused on further innovation within the media localisation industry. These research projects cover a wide range of areas which have potential to provide significant industry benefits across multiple methods of media localisation.

This role is based at our Sheffield office with the option for flexible, hybrid working. The hours will be 37.5 hours per week.

Duties and responsibilities will include;
• Data creation: Extracting and annotating data using ZOO's proprietary software, sometimes creating data from scratch according to specific requirements
• Collation, packaging and delivery of data to meet stakeholder requirements
• Discovering new ways to streamline processes and improve efficiency within data creation
• Keeping project trackers up to date and keeping the wider team updated on the progress of multiple projects
• Communication with stakeholders and acting as a point of contact for any questions or queries
• Creation and maintenance of documentation for new and existing processes

Requirements

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

This is an entry-level role suited to an individual looking to take their first steps within a forward-thinking R&D environment. A desire to learn and develop within a research and development team is essential and an interest in areas such as machine learning is desirable.

Whilst no previous experience in a research environment is necessary for this role and all required training will be provided, the following skills/experience are desired:
• Accurate typing skills
• Time management across multiple projects
• Ability to communicate well with a range of individuals
• Experience using tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Sheets
