Metadata Technical Quality Control Operator – Data Input & Media Services

We are looking to recruit a Metadata Technical Quality Control Operative (QC) to work within our busy metadata tech QC team that provides localisations of titles, synopses, and cast and crew for our clients, which include major Hollywood studios and global broadcasters.

Position

Technical QC is the very important final stage in a project before it is delivered to the client. The primary focus of the Technical QC operator is to uphold excellent quality throughout all work and ensure that only content meeting the required standards is delivered. Steps taken to achieve this include tracking, researching and uploading content to client archives, as well as managing tasks as part of a large team by implementing advanced techniques in software such as Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, and using ZOO's proprietary order tracking system. The Technical QC operator interacts with a number of client sites to collect, update, deliver materials and create new entries for assets within archiving systems.

Key Accountabilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Implementation of internal data management workflow
• Maintaining client sites ensuring all data is present and accurate
• Locating and retrieving assets from various archiving systems
• Updating, uploading & creating new entries within archiving systems
• Performing quality control checks on client materials and upholding standards

Requirements

The position requires attention to detail, following strict guidelines and instructions, and the ability to comprehend complex and changing workflows.

Any prior experience in data workflow/management or exposure to working with multiple languages would be highly desirable.

Essential:
• In depth knowledge of Excel or other spreadsheet tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage a variety of tasks under pressure
• Proactive, flexible and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to work independently and as a team player
• Analytical and structured problem-solving abilities

Desirable:
• Prior experience with data management/ workflows
• Prior experience in quality control (media and data)
