Position

ABOUT THE ROLE

Salary: $22-$25ph

Location: El Segundo, office-based

Due to continued expansion, ZOO Digital have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Audio Engineer to join our team based in El Segundo, CA. The Assistant Audio Engineer will be responsible for Music & Effects dubbing package prequalification, generating prequalification reports, technical quality control of cloud dubbing sessions, ProTools dubbing package and mix session preparation and conformance.

Day to day responsibilities will include:
• Performing loudness conformance and bounce deliverable outputs for audio mixes
• Assisting the Dubbing team with asset research in relation to audio quality and content
• Assisting the Audio Video QC team with final deliverable QC
• Working primarily with 5.1 and 2.0 audio, occasionally working with Dolby Atmos materials
• Working closely with ZOO's Post-Production, Quality Control and Dubbing teams to ensure high-quality efficient dubbing

The role will require continual learning of new and modified specifications from title to title and client to client.

Requirements

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for enthusiastic applicants, ideally with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2 years related experience and/or training. We are also keen to hear from applicants with an equivalent combination of education and experience.

We are also looking for applicants with the following skills and experience:
• Excellent verbal and written communicator in English – additional language skills are desirable but not essential
• Mac and Windows OS
• ProTools
• Dolby Atmos Renderer
• Dolby Media Encoder Suite
• Adobe Audition
• QuickTime Pro
• Video NLE's a plus (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro)
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
