As a Senior Policy Escalations Program Manager dedicated to cross industry initiatives and sensitive escalations on YouTube's Trust and Safety team, you will be responsible for improving policies and processes across the Enforcement and Operations organization.

In this role, you will work with sensitive escalation management and closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment in applying policy principles and addressing brand risk. You will work cross-functionally across Policy Development, Policy Verticals, Scaled Abuse, Monetization, Product, Infrastructure and Programs, and Global Scaled Operations to operationalize, enforce, and communicate policies that keep users safe and minimize brand risk to the platform.

You will think through the unique challenges of a broad array of policy areas (e.g., child safety, violent extremism, hate/harassment, harmful/dangerous, misinformation, adult) while developing workflows that are consistent and resilient.

This role will review graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive video content in line with YouTube's Community Guidelines.

Note that you will be required to work non-standard, on-call rotation weekend hours.

Resonsibilities:
• Exercise business judgment through managing sensitive escalations and communicate with executive leadership.
• Review controversial and offensive video content in-line with YouTube's Community Guidelines.
• Partner with the Trust and Safety Rapid Response team to scale YouTube Partner Program Sensitive policies globally.
• Engage with policy industries and cross-functional stakeholders to identify process improvements and drive large-scale initiatives to improve operational excellence across Trust and Safety.
• Become subject matter expert on YouTube Partner Program Sensitive policies, manage related escalations, and drive policy and process improvements across a growing number of policy areas (e.g., hate/harassment, misinformation, adult, etc.).

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in escalation, incident, crisis management and/or response.
• Experience working in cross-functional programs across markets.

Preferred qualifications:
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Ability to create new processes and iterate on existing workflows, with the ability to grow in ambiguity.
• Effective technical skills to frame solutions using data.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, to drive consensus across stakeholders.
• Interest in the intersection of policy, creator experience, and brand safety.
