Job Description
YouTube Product Partnerships accelerates the growth and innovation of YouTube products by driving new business opportunities through partnerships. We own the business side of new features, products, and initiatives that are vital to the success of YouTube. You know how to assess partnerships opportunities in any situation, define a strategy, and work closely with Product and other stakeholders to drive critical partnerships that help evolve our business. You will participate in cross-functional leadership. You are a true thought leader who can clue us into industry trends and key influencers.

As a Product Partnerships Manager, you will have the opportunity to support other product areas with the goal of driving the success and happiness of creators on YouTube, through important initiatives such as unlocking new non-ad business growth streams and driving adoption of new technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify partnership opportunities to support our creator goals and influence product road-maps. In this role, you will be responsible for setting a partnership strategy and expertly executing on it, serving as a strategic resource on areas you cover, and helping coordinate Go-To-Market efforts to ensure the success of partner-related launches.

Resonsibilities:
• Define partnership strategy to help achieve YouTube's Shopping goals, starting with creator business growth.
• Become a domain expert and thought leader in your area, understand unique market dynamics, and competitive landscapes. Lead internal cross-functional engagement to secure buy-in for new partnerships and programs.
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with external partners, including negotiating agreements and partner management at executive level.
• Incubate new products and formats, ensuring that critical partner feedback gets back to the cross-functional team to optimize product development.
• Problem-solve for legal, policy, business, operational, technical complexities, and collaborate with other business teams as necessary.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of business development experience.
• 5 years of experience working with Product, Engineering, and Legal teams in a technology environment.

Preferred qualifications:
• MBA or equivalent work experience such as management consulting.
• Partnership experience with brands, retailers, and/or affiliate networks/providers.
• Experience as a cross-functional leader managing multiple executive level stakeholders within multiple organizations.
• Experience interpreting legal documents, negotiating agreements, and working with legal team members to draft and execute agreements.
• Experience with YouTube products and the ability to learn new technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills including an entrepreneurial and creative approach, attention to detail, demonstrated collaboration instincts, and the ability to convey complex technical, financial, or business details with clarity.
