About WXIX:

WXIX-TV, FOX19 NOW, is the FOX affiliate serving Cincinnati and the Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana tri-state area, the nation's 36th DMA. FOX19 NOW is the leader in Morning News with local coverage from 4:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. each weekday The station airs early evening news 3 to 7 p.m. weekdays and the market's #1 (A25-54) late, local News starting at 10:00 to 11:30 p.m. FOX19 NOW's community involvement includes The St. Jude Dream Home, The Alzheimer's Association, The Pink Ribbon Girls and Special Olympics of Northern Kentucky, among others. Job Summary/Description:

Cincinnati's #1 News Station, WXIX, is looking for a Meteorologist/MMJ to add to its growing list of top-level talent. We are seeking a smart and energetic meteorologist/reporter with a track record of exceptional reporting.

The ideal candidate must have advanced forecasting skills and the ability to present the weather in a factual, memorable, and lively fashion. Someone who can handle severe weather situations on the air is a must.

In addition, candidates may also be required to report daily. You will be responsible for shooting, writing, voicing and editing stories for television and digital. Live reports will also be expected. The ideal candidate must be able to work odd hours to complete assigned stories and cover breaking news. Time management skills are key. You should also be skilled in social media and online news production.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• 2 years experience as a broadcast meteorologist/weather anchor
• BS/BA in Meteorology/Journalism/Communications or equivalent background
• Flexibility with respect to scheduling and/or assigned work shifts, especially considering the nature of weather events
• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record and pass a drug test. No phone calls please.
