Job Summary/Description:

WWSB-TV / ABC7 in Sarasota, Florida, is searching for a PART TIME / TEMP NEWS PHOTOGRAPHER. The right journalist will pursue breaking news, capture and edit lead stories for our television, digital and social platforms.

WWSB-TV / ABC7 in Sarasota, Florida, is searching for a PART TIME / TEMP NEWS PHOTOGRAPHER. The right journalist will pursue breaking news, and capture and edit stories for our television, digital and social platforms. This photographer must embody a collaborative spirit and an ability to engage with newsroom teammates and managers.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Shoot, Edit and File assigned news reports in television, digital and social formats
- Develop and maintain contacts with local newsmakers and experts
- Pitch confirmed ideas in daily editorial meetings
- Help capture and communicate enterprise and breaking stories using MMJ workflows
- Engage audience through social channels and personal appearances
- Ability to partner with newsroom managers and teammates

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Demonstrated track record of producing news reports and live reports from the field using MMJ Equipment & Cell phone technologies
- At least two years' experience as a Photojournalist
- Ability to cover breaking news in a timely and professional manner
- Internship in a commercial newsroom
- Bachelor's Degree or comparable experience
