WTOC is the dominant #1 station in Savannah, GA and serves 17 counties in Georgia's Coastal Empire and 3 counties in South Carolina's Low Country.

Job Summary/Description:

WTOC is looking for an experienced TV news journalist who excels at lifestyle content to co-host at least an hour of programming. This position could also include other responsibilities in other shows and/or appearances in other newscasts.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Co-anchors a one-hour life-style content show.
- Helps to produce content for the lifestyle show to include scheduling live shots, live interviews, turning pkgs, etc.
- Ability to ad-lib during live interviews and live shots in the field.
- Provide content for other shows/newscasts as requested.
- Help write for the life-style show and for our WTOC digital platforms.
- Ability to learn how to shoot and edit.
- Represent WTOC during specials, live coverage, and station events as needed.
- Assist newsroom with other tasks as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a journalism field required, with on-air experience in a TV newsroom highly preferred.
- Ability to shoot and edit will be needed in this role, though they likely will be working with a photographer most of the time.
- Demonstrated ability to turn content on a variety of topics, and cover live events successfully.
- Ability to communicate clearly both on air and on digital platforms is a must.
- Strong writing skills.
- Must be a team player and shine when it comes to enterprising content.
- Though this position focuses mostly on lifestyle content, the right candidate must keep journalism ethics and integrity at the forefront on all that they do, and be able to cover more news-focused events when needed.
