Job Summary/Description:

WTAP is looking for a News Producer/Anchor for our Monday-Friday morning newscasts. The person will anchor our 90 minute newscast at 5:30 am and then produce and anchor our Noon newscast. We are looking for a team player and a newsroom leader. This person must be comfortable and connected with all broadcast journalism platforms including television, social and digital media. Must be a team leader with a great attitude, strong ethics and integrity. Strong writer, knowledgeable about current events, who can think critically.

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
* Producer and anchor weekday newscasts.
* Generating unique, compelling and innovative story/show ideas and content.
* Excellent, creative presentation and writing skills a must.
* Excellent use of social media for news gathering and community engagement.
* Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
* Make community appearances on behalf of the station.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Journalism or Mass Communication degree preferred.
* Strong on-camera delivery with the ability to ad-lib.
* Excellent writing, packaging, and live skills.
* Must be able to report in a broad range of styles with good on-air presentation skills.
* Strong social media presence.
* Superior writing and copy editing skills.
