Sports Multimedia Journalist (MMJ)

WSYX/WTTE is looking for a Sports Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) who wants to cover The Ohio State University athletics in a BIG way. We've been raising the bar covering Columbus sports for decades now! The award-winning The Football Fever shows before and after every Ohio State Football games have been must watch TV since the first season almost 30 years ago. Our team has covered all of the big moments including the last two National Titles and numerous big wins over That Team Up North. In addition to covering OSU Football, the sports department is busy year round covering the OSU Men's and Women's basketball team, and the professional teams in town; including the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Columbus Crew. Central Ohio residents are some of the biggest sports fans in the country. Columbus consistently ranks in the top five of viewership for some of the biggest sports events of the year; even when there is not a local connection to the game.

Your responsibilities as an MMJ will include reporting, shooting and editing sports stories, enterprising sports story ideas, developing contacts, as well as other responsibilities as assigned. You will be expected to produce daily content on every platform.

Skills and Experience:
• Sharp news judgment
• The ability to tell an NPPA style story
• Excellent technical skills
• The ability to work well independently
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record

Requirements and Qualifications:
• A minimum of two years sports reporting experience is required
• Experience with live shots is required
• Experience with Live-U is a plus
