Job Summary/Description:

WSFA 12 News is seeking an experienced, driven, hard-hitting and creative Multimedia Journalist/Reporter to join our award winning team. Responsible for researching, breaking and developing exclusive and compelling local enterprise reports. Experience covering breaking news on social media, digital, and TV is a plus. An understanding of all digital platforms is a must. We are looking for someone who can shoot, write and edit for TV and all digital platforms. We will reward experience with a strong compensation package.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Shooting, writing and editing daily content for newscasts and website… knowledge of ENPS is a plus
- Demonstrated track record of compelling live reporting, including breaking, planned and feature coverage
- Generating story ideas and building local contacts
- Performing other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Journalism or Communications degree preferred, computer literacy, including newsroom computer systems
- Knowledge of Central Alabama communities, issues, and coverage opportunities
- Experience in a commercial newsroom
- Pre-employment and random drug testing
- Must have a good driving record
