Job Summary/Description:

WOIO is seeking a full-time Assignment Editor/Digital Content Producer. Your responsibilities will include creating digital content for web, app and OTT platforms. Must be a strong, punchy writer with impeccable news judgment and capable of applying SEO strategies and social engagement tactics. Will be called upon to perform Assignment Desk duties including monitoring news wires/police radios, maintain phone lists of sources, keep files/records of upcoming news events. Generate and provide story ideas, research as necessary. Direct videographers and/or reporters to gather/produce news.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Strong verbal/written communications skills and knowledge of AP Style required.
- Bilingual journalism skills preferred.
- College degree in Journalism preferred.
- Ability to work well under pressure and well with a diverse group of people.
- Must be able to handle a wide variety of variables, including short deadlines, shifting schedules.
- Other duties as assigned by news management.
