Job Description

The WNCT Marketing Department is looking for a Lifestyle Show Producer for our 30-minute weekday show ''The East's Daily Download'' that's all about Eastern North Carolina. You'll be working on this growing show, overseeing daily operations, booking guests, helping to get the show out of the studio more and into the field producing on location. You'll work closely with the show reporter, associate producer and host to create the most entertaining and informative television show possible about The East. There's a lot to do from writing, editing, working with sales on client interaction and if you're comfortable being on camera that's a bonus since the Producer tends to make appearances on our show.
Occasional travel around the Greenville market in Eastern North Carolina, will also assist at station events and any duties as assigned by the Marketing Director. This is an awesome opportunity for a Producer who's not afraid to take some risks, is interested in finding new ways to tell compelling stories and is up for having a lot of fun while working. Responsibilities:
• Produce lifestyle show
• Writes and approves scripts
• Works with host on interviews and on location segments
• Balances feature content to create compelling shows
• Edits video
• Delegates duties to show staff
• Interacts with viewers and users on social media sites
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:
• Software: Adobe Creative Cloud; Premiere and Photoshop. Hardware: DSLR Cameras
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Fluency in English
• Deadline driven and works well under pressure
• Creative thinker who isn't afraid to try new ideas
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Minimum one year experience in news operations (Depending on market size)
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
