About WMBF:

WMBF-TV is the NBC Network affiliate for the Grand Strand and Pee Dee regions of Northeastern South Carolina and parts of southeastern North Carolina. This Gray Television owned station was launched in 2008 in Myrtle Beach, SC and was built as a state-of-the art High Definition broadcast facility.

We broadcast 39 hours of live local news and weather along with NBC programming to 8 counties along the Grand Strand beaches westward into Florence, SC. We also use digital media platforms to deliver breaking news coverage to a fast-growing audience.

Myrtle Beach is a family vacation destination for millions of visitors each year due to our white sandy beaches, more than a hundred golf courses, amusement parks and mild weather. It is a pleasure to work in a city where so many people want to visit.

Job Summary/Description:

WMBF is looking for a talented graphic/motion artist to join its marketing team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a creative, fast-paced environment and be able to help grow the WMBF News brand through strong visual communication and animation. This position is responsible for working with the news, sales, and marketing departments on various projects.

Primary responsibility is to serve WMBF News, Sales and Marketing Departments with motion graphics, logos and animations for newscasts, digital and mobile platforms. This Designer will be developing and using graphics package and brand elements as a foundation. Other responsibilities include serving graphic requests from the Marketing and Sales Department that could include logos, IDs, print and ad units for social and digital.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• A strong eye for design.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
• Knowledge of VizRt a plus.
• Videography, photography, lighting, and non-linear editing skills are a plus.• Work well with staff and clients
• Must be able to represent station publicly in a positive, professional manner
