Job Description
WLNS-TV is looking for someone to anchor our Daily Digital Debrief and live events at wlns.com as needed. This position will also write and update the website with fresh content, push stories out using social media, pitch story ides, conduct interviews, shoot and edit video, and produce digital exclusive stories for wlns.com.

• Anchor the Daily Digital Debrief – a noon hour webcast devoted to keeping people up to date with what's happening across mid-Michigan
• Anchor live events at wlns.com as needed including but not limited to local and national events, press conferences, and other live breaking news
• Write stories and update the website with fresh content
• Push stories out using social media and push alerts
• Research, develop, and pitch story ideas
• Arrange and conduct interviews (live and taped)
• Shoot and edit video (for TV and the web)
• Produce digital exclusive stories for wlns.com
• Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when required.
• Superior on-air presence.
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, and other office equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Flexibility to work any shift.
• Familiarity with ENPS, Tri-caster, and/or Adobe Premiere is a plus
