Multimedia Journalist (MMJ)

WLFL/WRDC is looking for an Multi-Media Journalist. This position is essential to both of our station's social media presence, our ratings growth, and our community involvement going forward.

We are seeking a candidate who is creative, to take our digital, social media, and our station brand to new heights. We want someone who can help us continue to grow our digital and broadcast audience with compelling content, and innovative ideas. Strong social media know-how is a must along with natural on- air presence. Candidate must be able to produce, write and edit their own stories. This position includes developing segments for trending topics appearing on-air, online and in social media. The Multi Media Journalist is responsible for posting stories to the web and being active on social media sites to increase WLFL/WRDC'S presence online. As a station talent you will be involved in station promotions including working at community events, producing in market promotion videos, on-air branding, and client commercials. MMJ will need to be able to gather analytics and report the results on a weekly bases for all of our digital platforms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The ability to work well independently
• Must have video production experience
• Write, shoot, produce, edit and showcase daily stories.
• The ability to be the face of the station, with an great on air presence, and great interview skills
• Combine photography and editing skills, with sound journalistic principles, to produce creative, compelling and accurate stories.
• Post stories to our website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media.
• Track, and analyze results on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis (google analytics)
• Marketing- branding our stations and (sales) client promotions
• You must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record
• Must be able to work some nights and weekends
