Job Description/Summary:

WLBT and Mississippi Weekend are looking for a creative host and storyteller to join our Mississippi Weekend Team. You will take the lead and be responsible for hosting multiple paid and original stories. Time will be split between hosting and producing content as necessary for both our sales and news departments. These stories will drive our Mississippi Weekend and Mississippi Strong content. We are looking for a person who has an infectious personality and can cultivate relationships in the local community. You must have great improvisational skills, charisma, intelligence, great to work with, service driven, quick on your feet and highly motivated. Background as a host is preferred.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, film, photography, television or equivalent professional experience is preferred
• Proven experience as a host
• Proven experience producing content
• Excellent videographer and editor
• Engaging writer
• Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying production timelines
• Must be energetic, positive and great to work with
• Must be highly motivated self-starter, able to work well alone and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with multiple departments
