Job Summary/Description:

WLBT is looking for a General Sales Manager to lead our team of highly experienced account executives. The successful candidate will guide our team in creating solution-oriented campaigns that deliver results. This key department head must be engaged and strategic, with an ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with the entire station team.

Provide dynamic leadership and foster a winning culture to achieve budgets and grow revenue for local, regional, national and digital sales. Maximize and manage inventory, rate cards, special opportunities and forecast revenue. Candidate must have a strong understanding of digital solutions, and a successful track record of growing new and existing local direct business.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
o Minimum of five years in sales (sales management preferred)
o Strong leadership skills with ability to initiate creative sales efforts
o Ability to foster a collaborative, supportive team environment
o Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
o Excellent listening skills
o Develops creative solutions to increase new local direct revenue
o Experience in guiding, motivating and leading a successful sales team
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Wide Orbit and Matrix
o Maximize inventory and pricing

Qualifications/Requirements:
• 3 years sales experience required
