Creative Services Assistant

Job Description

The WLAX/WEUX Promotions Assistant works within the Creative Services Department for the station's day-to-day on-air programming. The assistant will be part of the creative service team that will represent WLAX/WEUX within the community by coordinating and attending local events throughout the viewing region. The promotions assistant will be an integral part of programming our televisions stations, coordinating community affairs and station's sales promotions under the direction of the Creative Services Director and General Manager.
• Coordinate and assist with FOX network and syndicated network programming schedules using MediaStar
• Prepares forms, reports, records and documents using computers, ledgers, orders and other resources
• Corresponds with local customers and national network representatives to plan and coordinate community events and national promotions
• Maintains files and other business records to include the FCC 398
• Manage Public Service Announcements within the OSI database
• Assist with the maintenance of station's social media sites
• Manage station's public file for FCC compliance
• Assist Sales Dept. with promotional packages
• Coordinate and maintain station contests
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Requirements and Skills:
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.
• Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The Promotions Assistant must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
