Job Summary/Description:
We are seeking a timely, dependable, motivated individual to join our broadcast operations team, bringing programming and live local broadcasts to our viewers. You will work behind the scenes, within an all-digital production/master control environment using Harris ADC Automation, and the Ross Overdrive System with Vizrt graphics interfaced, in an ENPS news environment. Flexible schedules are a must, as we deliver and monitor content around the clock.
Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
Program acquisition, processing, QC checking, receiving satellite downlinks, and managing programming playlists through Air Client & automation software. Operators also maintain hourly transmitter logs and note discrepancies in programming/break inventory. In addition, you will publish content to WITN's digital platforms. Technical media production and directing will be another aspect of your training. Candidates that exhibit the necessary skill set will also train to direct live newscasts using the Ross Overdrive system. Must have excellent computer skills with a good sense of visual and audio integration. Quick reaction time and the ability to perform well under stress and tight deadlines is essential. You will be expected to work a rotating schedule including overnight, early morning and weekend shifts, and fill in for others as needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Television production/broadcast experience preferred. Film or video production experience is also helpful. Education and experience in related fields is acceptable. We will train accordingly for promising and qualified candidates.
• Individuals must be motivated and focused learners with an ability to acquire new skills quickly and apply them across a broad range of scenarios.
• Ability to remain focused and on task, without direct supervision, is essential.
• Must be comfortable with the continually changing landscape of broadcast technology, including adapting to new equipment and workflows routinely.
