Job Summary/Description:

As our next Digital Sales Manager, you will be a passionate, tech-savvy, fast-paced leader who loves to win, creates a winning-thriving culture, and helps our seasoned sales team achieve great things for their clients and the station. This position currently offers a hybrid-work environment (4 days in office, 1 day at home) but that is subject to discussion and/or change. Duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to the following):
• Achieve digital revenue goals.
• Hitting the streets daily alongside our Account Executives to develop deep and mutually beneficial relations with current and future clients, working in concert with our General Sales Manager to provide a unified approach.
• Manage digital advertising inventory & pricing.
• Coach and lead individual AEs to grow digital revenue and new business.
• Develop and implement digital marketing solutions for a wide range of clients.
• Develop and assist team with building digital solution proposals.
• Attend client meetings with Account Executives to present and explain complex digital solutions in simple, easy to understand language to clients, media buyers, advertising agencies and other key decision makers.
• Work with sales team to effectively explain campaign results to digital clients.
• Serve as station point person to Gray Digital Media.
• Follow online, mobile, OTT and social media marketing trends, emerging technology, the competitive landscape, etc.
• Introduce and train team on all new digital marketing products and services.
• As DSM you're tasked with keeping our station's sales staff in-the-know and on-the-streets selling digital advertising solutions.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years sales experience, preferably in digital media.
• A passion for digital advertising.
• Current knowledge of digital ad technology.
• Strong computer skills. Proficiency in MS Office including PowerPoint is required.
• We need a self-starter interested in leading and developing great salespeople.
• You must be comfortable with handling big accounts, strategic decisions and sometimes campaign issues, from start to finish.
• You must be confident with change and handling opposition, as any position in sales requires.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
• Experience with Wide Orbit, Comscore, and Matrix a plus.
• You'll be given extensive training (both in Lansing and at the Gray Sales Training Center in North Carolina) and the support of a dedicated Gray Regional DSM keeping you up-to-date on digital selling techniques, success stories, and products. You'll have the support of a Digital Sales Assistant here at the station, who helps implement campaigns. You'll attend the annual DSM Summit with more than 100 other folks just like you across Gray, and really see what sets this company apart!
