WGGB (Western Mass News) is located in Springfield, MA and has the ABC, CBS and FOX affiliates. Western Mass News was the 2021 Station of the Year as named by the Massachusetts Broadcasters Association. Our three major networks and digital platform speak daily to over half of Western Mass Mass and the area businesses. We have Western Mass's most live programming, from the Oscars to all the major live sporting events. Job Summary/Description:

The Special Projects Producer oversees multiple projects, including the planning of our in-depth stories that focus on Getting Answers for the Western Massachusetts community. The position also oversees sales integration segments, award nominations, special programs, and other tasks as assigned by the News Director.

Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Oversees the planning of weekly in-depth stories: this includes brainstorming ideas with reporters, keeping calendar up to date, and making sure that deadlines are met
- Conduct interviews and potentially write stories that will be voiced by on-air talent

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field is preferred
