Job Summary/Description:

WGEM-TV, the Illinois Broadcasters Association's Station of the Year and dominant #1 NBC affiliate in Quincy, Illinois, seeks a motivated Content Manager who can collaborate with people and grow content. Creative producers looking to grow in a leadership role are encouraged to apply. This leader has an excellent opportunity to join a management growth track with the flexibility to try new things. In addition to managing hyper-local content, you'll lead the local use of content from the Gray Television Illinois State Capitol Bureau, Washington, DC Bureau, InvestigateTV and other franchises that focus on important information that matters to our local communities. Qualifications/Requirements:
- Experience with working with Edius and ENPS is a plus.
- A degree in journalism or related field is preferred.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to demonstrate personal characteristics such as professionalism, persuasiveness and aggressiveness.
- Clear understanding of the principles of broadcast journalism.
