NEWS PRODUCER (PRIMARY) - WEEK

About WEEK:

WEEK-TV is an award-winning station that leads the community in local news coverage and community involvement. The successful candidate must be a strong writer with excellent time management skills and attention to detail. You must be able to work well in high pressure situations and thrive on breaking news coverage.

Job Summary/Description:

The ideal candidate will manage the newscast timing, flow and pace. Keeps up with assignments, breaking news and wires to make sure the newscast provides the viewer with the best information.

Responsibilities will be to communicate with MMJ's, Assignment Manager and Assistant News Director to create a fast paced, smoothly sequenced, and fact based newscast daily.

Please note, the primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the information listed above.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Some newscast producing experience, such as at a college level, is required. This is a great opportunity for a college student about to transition into their first full time journalism job with an opportunity for growth and advancement.
