About WEEK:

WEEK-TV is an award-winning station that leads the community in local news coverage and community involvement. It operates a number of TV stations in the Peoria, IL television market including WEEK 25 (NBC), Heart of Illinois ABC, and Peoria-Bloomington's CW.

Job Description/Summary:

The person we are looking for is a Digital Champion -- a leader who is ready to win breaking news and severe weather coverage on our powerhouse website, apps, social media, and other platforms.

Responsibilities will be to plan and execute a daily strategy including trending stories throughout the market. Proactively seek out fresh web content. Be an aggressive web ambassador in the newsroom.

Qualifications/Requirements:

▶ Strong writing skills and news judgment with the ability to carry a news story across web, mobile and social media. A college degree in Journalism or related field is preferred. Previous experience working on a news website is preferred.
