Job Summary/Description:
WECT is looking for a dynamic MMJ Reporter/Anchor. We're looking for someone who can jump into multiple roles as needed, including filling in to anchor a variety of shows, as needed. You must be self-motivated, have good communication skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Primary duties include gathering video, interviews, and information, editing for broadcast and digital/social platforms, setting up/ executing live shots, and other duties as assigned.
Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
- Shoot video and interviews for news stories
- Contribute regularly to news coverage
- Anchor newscasts as assigned
- Non-linear editing for broadcast and digital platforms
- Writing for broadcast and digital platforms
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years anchor/reporter experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in journalism, tv production, or related field
- Exceptional news judgment
- Non-linear editing experience
- Flexible schedule
- Pre-employment drug screen and MVR check required
