About WEAU:

WEAU 13 News broadcasts to 26 counties in western Wisconsin and southeastern Minnesota. We're an hour drive from the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area in a growing community with great schools and health care.
WEAU is affiliated with NBC and produces 30 hours of news every week.

Job Summary/Description:

WEAU is looking for an evening newscast producer. The ideal candidate is a leader; someone who has great news sense, intelligence and energy, plus a creative vision for what it takes to produce a solid newscast. The person currently in this role is leaving WEAU for a Top 10 market.

Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Produce live newscast(s) daily
- Select content, write scripts and edit video
- Communicate with anchors, assignment desk, field crews, editors, directors and others to ensure execution of a high-quality newscast
- Produce live breaking news and special event coverage
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field preferred, equivalent experience considered
- Must include samples of recent work
- At least 1 year of experience in a TV newsroom working as a producer or related position
- Experience producing with multiple live sources
- Excellent writing, showcasing, time management skills required
